During that period, members also directed distributions of $134,350 to individually selected nonprofit organizations. Idaho Women's Charitable Foundation (IWCF) educates members about community needs and inspires them to positively impact the community through educated philanthropy. Nearly all IWCF members participate in a collaborative effort to identify and distribute grants to those Idaho nonprofit organizations providing services to the community in the areas of cultural arts, education, financial stability, environment, health and rural communities. IWCF members then select the projects by voting in the areas of cultural arts, education, environment, financial stability, health and rural communities. During this fiscal year, 68 members participated on the Grants Committee to narrow 74 letters of inquiry to 12 ballot choices in the 6 interest areas. In this fiscal year $221,004 in pooled grants and $134,350 in individually designated grants were distributed.
