We had 238 volunteers give more than 5,000 hours to the food pantry. In total we gave over 256,000 pounds of food to the unhoused, low income, disabled, elderly, and veterans in Douglas County Oregon. - Open Hands Clothing: In 2023 we served over 5,500 people in our community with free clothing, hygiene items, diapers, blankets, sleeping bags, tents, and tarps to unhoused, low income, disabled, elderly, and veterans in Douglas County Oregon. We had over 250 volunteers give over 5,000 hours to accomplish all we did through our clothing and immediate needs outreach. - Under The Bridge: in 2023 we went out into the homeless camps of our community and served a sack lunch, handed out hygiene items, dry socks and underwear, coats, sweat shirts, as well as blankets, tarps, and tents to nearly 2500 individuals. We had nearly 400 volunteers give over 1,400 hours over the span of 24 weekends in order to bring love and comfort to those without a home. - Shower Trailer: In 2023 our shower trailer was used to provide showers to at least 30 homeless individuals every week. There we 5 volunteers that facilitated the shower trailer and gave over 400 hours of volunteer service to make it happen. - Kitchen/Food Trailer: We prepared and served nearly 2,500 lunches that were distributed out to our homeless community. - Miscellaneous Outreach: In 2023 we provided food and clothing and immediate needs for an average of 1000 households every month in our community. We also did a special outreach on Christmas Eve. We prepared over 300 hot Christmas meals and sent out teams across our community to deliver the meals to the homeless in Roseburg, Sutherlin, and Winston Oregon. Along with the meals, we prepared goodie bags filled with dry socks, hand warmers, water bottles, gloves, candy canes, and personal cards. We had over 200 volunteers show up on Christmas Eve and give a combined 1200 hours in order for those who have nothing to receive a warm and comforting gift for the holiday.
