Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 April, 2021 The board discussed compensating the President & CEO and the President recommended in lieu of regular compensation payments we would pay as we are able to with the maximum amount being paid per year of $35,000. There is one Board Member who is also responsible for running one of our youth programs. The board agreed to compensate her for the time invested in heading up and running one of our programs. Form 990, Part IX, Line 24e The functional expenses are expenses incurred for the programs we offer (e.g., getting equipment for programs, paying for administrative help and assistance, paying for subject matter experts to provide training, course materials and books, rental expenses, paying stipends for additional help as needed, paying for supplies needed for distribution - e.g., food to address food insecurity). This filing is late because the Board wanted to ensure that the yearly audit was completed first before filing. We received the completed audit 2/2/24 which is already past our filing deadline and the same week we received our yearly audit our Treasurer needed to resign for personal family reasons. We have been in search for a Treasurer since then up until we had one of our Board members accept the responsibility of being our Treasurer the week before this was submitted. She needed time to go through our financial records including our financial audit in order to prepare our 990 which is why it is being filed now.
