A budget is prepared each year based on the expected income from investments. A percentage of the budget is given to SOUMC for three separate areas. Trustee Projects receive reimbursement up to the budgeted amount when receipts are received. SOUMC applies the budgeted amount for Outreach Missions to help pay the Apportionments assigned to SOUMC by the connectional United Methodist Church. SOUMC applies the budgeted amount for Local Ministries as needed for local ministry projects. At the SOUMC Annual Conference a detailed report of the Income and Expenses of both SOUMC and of SOUMCEF are presented and are available to the congregation as a whole. I've rechecked the figures multiple times over many days and I cannot find any reason that Form 990 - Part XI, Line 10 totals $713,740, rather that the $713,968 from Part X, Line 32. I've added $228 to Part XI , Line 9 so that the return can be printed and sent.
