EqualHealth held social medicine education and training courses for 15 students in Haiti, 15 in Uganda and 30 in Minnesota. These courses were all in person after the lift on Covid restrictions earlier on in the year. That course covers topics such as social determinants of health, colonialism, and narrative medicine taught by international experts 55476 2048 Medical Education Fellowship and Leadership Development Program: This fellowship is designed to equip a cadre of physicians with the skills necessary to be leaders in their field in Haiti. In Haiti they undertake a quality improvement project at their home institutions. Each chapter declares a strategic goal for their direct community and commits to be a part of the collective campaign. Chapters engage together sharing success stories and challenges, participating in community organizing training, and building relationships with organizers from around the world. The CAR leadership team offers resources and support to chapters individually to ensure that each chapter reaches their goals. Community organizers provide partnership and support to each chapter and collaborate to build collective consciousness around the movement for health equity.
