The hotel was purchased by NNF in 2000 through a single member LLC. In 2021, the hotel reported a net profit for the first time since its purchase. A federal grant helped, but even net of the grant, the hotel earned nearly $90K. The LLC still owes the parent $10.4M in loans made over the period. Nevertheless, 2021 was a turning point in the building's history, and a landmark in NNF's work to restore the building to active use, revitalize the City, and promote smart growth in the region. 8 Poster & print sales relation NNFs mission: NNF makes available for sale signed prints of various artworks that relate to and further the mission of the nonprofit. These include prints commemorating Christo and Jeanne Claudes The Gates in Central Park, which help raise public awareness of the importance of protecting nature and finding environmental solutions for New York by bringing attention to that important work of public art which highlighted the beauty and value of Central Park as a natural asset.
