Students produced a 20-minute TV segment based upon the issue of social media. The students participated in three 30-minute, facilitated discussions with subject matter experts provided by Onyx Therapy Group. There was also a Teacher Appreciation luncheon for the faculty for encouraging participation in the program. 1534 0 The Links, Incorporated established the HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES Facet in response to the chronic disparities that persist. This year, there was virtual participation in the DMV Links Red Dress event. This event takes place during the month of February and focuses on raising awareness for women's heart health. This event was in partnership with the American Heart Association. 1594 0 NATIONAL TRENDS AND SERVICES (NTS) Facet partnered with Prince George's Community College, Dress for Success, and Women Offering Wealth to provide a virtual mentoring program. This program, "Project L.I.F.T - Links Impacting Future Trailblazers" was designed to help prepare Black and Latina women to successfully navigate the job market and strengthen financial security with the primary focus on empowerment. Sessions Held: Mentor Orientation, Mentor/Mentee Meet, and Greet (Program Orientation), 3 Workshops (Resume Writing & Cover Letter, Interview Skills, and Job Search/LinkedIn Profile & Your Personal Brand) Virtual Career Fair, and a Closing Program. Further, NTS hosted a virtual 2021 Links at the Legislature: A Day at the Maryland State House in Annapolis Advocacy for Policy to Improve the Health and Education of Children. 434 0 The Links Incorporated established the INTERNATIONAL TRENDS AND SERVICES Facet with the foremost goal of providing opportunities for tangible service in other countries. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The Prince George's County (MD) Chapter is comprised of 83 members that pay annual dues and are committed to transforming communities and fulfilling our purpose. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Members of the organization have a voice in how the governing body governs the organization. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Treasurer completes the 990 and presents to the President for review before submission. The filing is made a part of the Treasurer's report to the Chapter and a copy filed with Archives Committee. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Members submit Ethics compliance forms on an annual basis to certify they are in compliance with the Conflict of Interest policy. Annual Ethics training is mandatory for all members. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The organization has official instruments and financial statements which are available upon request. Form 990, Part IX, Line 24e The expense of $911 is an administrative expense from a previous fiscal year. The amount had been in dispute and $911 was the amount on which both parties agreed.
